| Hiked Chiquita and Ypsilon a few years back with my little bro, but we skipped Mount Chapin. I (with our 4 year old on my back) and my wife (with our 1 year old on her back) trudged up this pleasant trail/talus hop to the beautiful summit of Mount Chapin this time. My childrens' first mountain summit, it feels good to pass on my love of the high mountains to my kids. | |

| Wonderful hike and a terrific afternoon with amazing views and lots of wildlife. On top of Chapin be sure to head back west and look down at the spires. Be careful not to descend to much on the way back from Ypsilon in order to pick up the trail between Chiquita and Chapin. | |

| Peak 1 of 8, did a variation of "Mummy Mania" we dubbed "Mummy Masochism" because we tacked 2 bushwhack 11ers on to the end. Appx 19 miles, 7000 vertical - climbed Chapin, Chiquita, Ypsilon, Fairchild, Hagues, Mummy, Tileston and Bighorn. | |

| During a road trip in the United States in august 2008 I climbed Mount Chapin. Continued to Mount Chiquita and Mount Ypsilon. Mount Chapin is the warming-up for what is still to come and although is bypassed by a lot of hikers, it is very rewarding to climb the trilogy in one day... | |
