Mount Colden from Flowed Lands. The photo was in my scanner crooked, then my friggin scanner broke, and I couldn't rescan it. Ignore the tilt and it's a damn good photo =)

Wonderful photo.

It reminds me that the Adirondacks are just so different from the Appalachians. I used to think they were just a sub-range of the Apps, but when you look at them---well they just don't look the same. More rugged. Steeper slopes, on the whole. They just don't look the same.
