My seventh state high point and the first of three in one day. Nice tower! I was in Pittsburgh on business and took an extra day to see the highest "mountains" of Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia.

Drove up to this highpoint. Was okay, nothing spectacular. Lots of fields of corn, and cows in the area. Beer bottles and graffiti thanks to the locals, must have gotten bored with cow-tipping.

2nd time at Mount Davis, 1st time there since I adopted this page. It was a nice day, but pretty hot. All the trails were way too overgrown.

My wife and I made this our 3rd highpoint. Amish guys in buggys racing on the dirt road to the top. Trees for miles around are dead. Heard that it had to do with the previous years ice storm. If all these trees fall, you'll get a pretty good view even without the tower.

Winter highpoint # 8 came on a cold (-5F) and windy (~30mph) morning after a business trip. The N-S road which leads to Mt. Davis Natural Area wasn't plowed, so I had a pleasant 1.5 mile stroll to visit the snowy summit of Pennsylvania. I didn't see another soul anywhere near the mountain.

Nice views from the top, at least for PA :-)

Mt. Davis is a big wide mountain, with a long steep drive to the top. I took a highpoint trip to West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Davis was my last one of the day. Nice view for PA Dutch Country, but nothing too special.

This mountain was more challenging for me than it would have been in a different season. The gravel road was unplowed 2.3 miles south of the summit. therefore I had to walk the 2.3 easy miles to the summit. Fortunately, the snow had been packed by snowmobilers; otherwise it would have been at least a foot deep! I could see views for about a mile in any direction from the lookout tower inspite of the fact thqat it was a cloudy day. That is StateHighpoint #19!

I did a solo ascent on a gorgeous September day. Fortunately, when I reached the "summit," another climber was there and he was kind enough to take a summit photo of me. Not a bad climb at all, unless you don't like stairs. Views from the top of the tower were...well... I guess as good as you can get in PA.
