| Drove up to Kite Lake and did the Decalibron route for Democrat, Cameron, Lincoln and Bross. The round trip time was about 6.5 hours. Got chased down Bross when the weather moved in, but all in all, it was a very good trip. | ||

| Started up at 6:30AM, ended-up rock scrambling, missing the saddle, and heading straight up to the false summit and on to the summit. Reached the top at 7:50AM, nobody there, stayed about 15 mins and then off for Mt Cameron & Mt Lincoln. Beautiful, clear, but windy and cool. My 5th 14'er! | ||

| A fun and easy climb despite the slightly above average steepness for a 14er trail. Lots of erosion due to shortcutting made it a little tricky staying on the right path on the way up but it's pretty hard to get too far off course. There was a summit log but I could not find the USGS marker. Congrats to Jim on successfully climbing your 1st 14er. | ||

| Flew right up Democrat (Summit about 8) and the weather was still good, some snow but it would clear every few minutes. When I got to the top of Cameron ( I had a friend only half up) the thunder roared in and I decided I'd have to come back to get the others. So I'll finish up over labor day. A fun climb until the lightning came. | ||

| This was the first leg of the Decalibron for me and two of my employees, Angela and Sabine. Had great weather up until the end and an overall great day. | ||

| I may actually have done this mountain twice--I don't remember for sure. But I do remember doing it in July of 1984, with Aaron Johnson and Mike Kloepfer, and newly-met friends Betsy, Robyn, and Maggie, all of whom we had met a couple weeks earlier while fleeing a lightning storm on Elbert. It was a nice day (actually, as time passes, even bad days on the mountains turn into good memories). Nice climb! | ||

| Done in conjuction with Licoln, Cameron and Bross on the fourth of July. What a great day, and a fairly easy climb for getting the legs in shape! Cheers! | ||

| Cloudy and windy, bailed on doing all four due to the weather. I spent 3.5 of my 5.5 hour mountain bike ride the day before in a cold downpour and decided not to make it two days in a row :-). Pretty easy fourteener, I'd imagine with good views on days visibility is more than 100 feet. | ||

| After climbing Long's a few weeks ago...it seemed sick and wrong to sleep in late and bag 4 peaks with such minimal effort. Nice scenery and easy hiking don't make for solitude. Still a fun hike though. | ||

| I finished the Decalibron with Democrat, and this was the toughest part of the journey. It was a steep hike on loose talus from the Democrat-Cameron saddle. I reached the summit at about 1:30 PM. There were a few hikers there, but they soon left and I had the place all to myself. | ||

| Definitely the most interesting summit on the Decalibron loop. Climbed about 600' of moderate snow south of the main trail up to the steep talus pile. Thence to the summit by the shortest available route. Nice place, but crowded. Summer 14ers are definitely a different breed of mountain than what I've become used to. | ||

| Was unable to drive all the way to Kite lake so we managed to get a legal 3000 ft gain hike of Democrat. There was plenty of snow and snowshoes probably would have been helpfull. We wound up postholing quite a bit but got a great glissade from the summit almost all the way back to Kite Lake. | ||
