It's worth mentioning that most of Erie's climbing routes face into the sun. In July it can be an oven, but in early spring routes are enjoyable while many other climbing areas are far to cold & wet.
On a frigid Saturday in about 1980 I climbed in a long-sleeved shirt, while Lake Erie, below us, sported about 12 ice skaters and 4 ice boats! I never did learn where the ice boats were brought in from.
