Mount Guyot's South Ridge

Mount Guyot's South Ridge

My dog Sopris approaching Mount Guyot along its south ridge. The subsummit in the forground seems to be atypicaly formed of shales (odd... kinda like the ridge south of Horseshoe Mountain). Notice the nasty chip rock akin to so many Elk/Ruby summits. This ridge is more fun then I anticipated. A great place to study Guyot's massive cirque. Jon
