I once watched a Griz cross below that snowfield at the bottom.

Thanks for the comment. That must have been a great sight. When we approached the Divide just past Pitamakan Pass, there was a bull moose up there on the ridge. I've seen plenty of moose, but never before nor since in a place like that.

Reminds me of seeing a Griz way way up on the steep slopes of Stoney Indian Peak in some sheer cliffs. Really wild, but I've never seen a Moose up in the alpine areas.
