Mount Helen from upper Titcomb Basin, August 2005. The next day, four of us (plus two tag-alongs) climbed Gannett, and it was our intent to ascend Helen's Tower Ridge next day, but wet, sloppy weather intervened. Nonetheless, we spent a lot of time examining Helen from our camp directly at the base of the major gulley that breaks the west face. Towers 1,2, and 3 (left to right) are all easily seen on the skyline.
