Re: ImprovementThanks -- any pictures would help. Can you also creat a route for your trip up the Southwest ridge? That would be helpful-- although slogging up the pavement to Crystal Lake has got to suck.

Big Cienega TrailMy wife and I hiked up the Big Cienega Trail and we think it is a great trail. The way it was constructed by the volunteers makes it a perfect grade for a nice pace. I love how the trail winds around the rock outcrops on the ridgetop. Overall it is just a great trail to a peak with fantastic views. The lack of snow for this time of year is crazy. We only crossed one patch right below the top.
