| Hiked up from Charlotte Pass with Alexandra De Castro, very hot, a little windy a times, many bugs. Summit was pretty crowded with most people hiking from Thredbo. 18 km return trip. | |

| Foggy, incredible windy day..many snow fields (unexpected:-) on track from Charlottes Pass. Summit reached approx. at 16:00. Met no people during the whole circle walk, just our Czech and Slovak group of 10. Return via boring old 4WD road (SummitWalk). | |

| In my mind, Australia defied its reputation in many ways during my short visit. On the bright side, I enjoyed a fine cross country ski tour from Perisher to Rawson's Pass in gusty and whiteout conditions. The track alternated between dry fluffy powder and hard ice. Then it all cleared off for a brilliant calm summit. | |

| I was able to hire snowshoes and ski poles in Thredbo ($30.00) and ride the Crackenback chairlift ($18.00). Dave Lindner from England had never been on snowshoes before (I told him never back up-do a 180 instead). Great hike all the way to the top on the new snow! Skied Thredbo the next day-they opened a week early! | ||

| I hiked the road from Charlotte's Pass under blue skies and perfect weather. It was actually warmer than usual for this time of the year. I ran into a bit of snow near the summit but the track was mostly dry. It took me 4.5 hours R/T, including 30 mins to enjoy the views from the summit, which I had all to myself. It was a very enjoyable hike. The rocky tundra and views of the surrounding peaks are very scenic. (This is my 4th of the 8 7-summits.) | |

| Drove for 7 hours from Melbourne, hiked to summit in pouring rain. Hiked back to my car and then drove back to Melbourne!....all in a days work:-) Going to do it in Winter this year:-) | |

| Flew the night before from Sydney (where I left my family) to Canberra, rented a car, slept a few hours at a motel on the road and was hiking at first light via Mt. Townsend and a loop back, total 6 hours, then drove back to Canberra, caught my flight back to Sydney and was having dinner with them that night. | |

| I know I was 9 yo the first time I reached the top, in heavy snow in May School Hols I think? Went back the next year and there was no snow to speak of and it was like a walk down the road but very scenic, even for the eyes of a 10yo. | |

| Beautiful weather and very crowded. Took wife on the chairlift from Thredbo and walked the trail in about 90 minutes. Great scenery with about 50 folks at the summit marker. | |

| Rocked up to the trailhead in the late-afternoon, intending to unroll my swag on the boardwalk to the overview at Charlotte Pass, but I thought before I turned in, I'd take a quick shufti up the path leading toward Kozzie. Off I tromped into the evening. Very pleasant: nice views overlooking Blue Lake, the Main Range, and the source of the Snowy. Before I knew it, though, I was at Seaman's Hut, and there I figured, "what the heck..." and continued on up to the summit. I was back to the car and most of the way to Jindabyne before it got dark. The crux of the climb was keeping my mouth shut tightly enough to exclude the flies, which were black in the sky. | |

| Back again next day to follow the only vertical mile route on the Australian mainland and the only real route on Kozzie: Hannel's spur, a once popular route, but now completely overgrown, with no discernible track! Bushbashing extraordinaire from 400m to the summit at 2200m in two days, including a night camping at Moiras flats. Thanks to Lincoln, Mike and Glen for joining 'Kozzie the hard way'.. | |
