| sprosseda | Route Climbed: water trail - Lincoln - ridgeline - Bridal trail Date Climbed: June 2002 ![]() | |
| Went over Lincoln first, then along Franconia ridgeline (magnificent) and up to Lafayette. Views are awesome. Franconia ridge is one of the most spectacular mountain areas in the eastern US. Lafayette is a beautifully sculpted alpine mountain. Went down bridle trail. Entire day is full of views. Spectacular! | ||

| Seth Maciejowski | Route Climbed: Falling Waters, Bridle Path, Greenleaf trail Date Climbed: Many Times ![]() | |
| Lafayette is one of my favorite mountains in NH, the views are outstanding and the summit is beautiful. Two of my most memorable trips : Climbing the bridle path to the top at night (arrived at the summit at 1 AM with noone around in July) Climbing the bridle path at night in a blizzard in November. We did not make the summit and ended up camping in the middle of the trail near Greenleaf hut. There was 18" of fresh snow by morning. Fun Fun Fun! | ||

| Above the Greenleaf Hut, the wind blew the clouds away and it was a glorious summit day. Terrific views (even Washington eventually cleared). And every time I got tired on the Falling Waters trail I turned around and saw another beautiful waterfall! | ||

| One more false summit would make this peak even better, don't ya think? After leading 9 teenagers from Garfield, finally reaching the summit was a blessing and well worth the climbing. We were enroute to Greenleaf Hut for the evening and had a nice clear day on the ridge. | ||
