Glad to finally get to climb this peak, been wanting to do so for a long time. Awesome views all the way from the Guadalupes to the Chisos.

It took me two tries

My first attempt was plagued by thunderstorms. I came back two weeks later on a beautiful day for a perfect summit. It is currently my favorite summit trip. Its worth looking into.

A great climb from the standard route that turned into a very long descent via Tobe Gap.

Route Climbed: Madera Cayon and Bridge Gap Date Climbed: July 3, 2005
It was an easy climb. Good weather. Steep at times and a little scrambling at the end. LOTS of bugs at top. Its fun.
