Mount Mahler reflected in Lake Agnes, Never Summer Range, Sept. 4, 2006. We arrived just before the wind began to ripple the water --- I remember being torn, looking back and forth between the peaks (we were headed up Mt. Richthofen) and their twins mirrored in the lake. We snapped photos in a frenzy -- a sad contrast with the calm quiet of the water and earth that fashioned the subject.
