| Started the trek up from Selo (1582m) at about 11pm, reached summit just before 5am. Spectacular view of Merapi smoking and the twin cones of Sumbing and Sundoro in the West. After spending about an hour at the summit, went down the same way and reached Selo in about 3.5 hrs. | |

| Put up the tent and slept on the summit for the morning views. Clouds were in by 8.00AM Good camping but would be very exposed in bad weather | |
