Desainme-Hi! Where did you get your USGS figure? My TOPO (USGS) map states 13,448. Several debates have continued about the hieght of the mountain, but until I see something more concrete, I'll keep it at the elevation stated.
Acme mapper (USGS maps pasted together) support at least 13560 feet. 13448 is the elevation of the southwest shoulder of Powell and is the the highest point of Powell within Eagle County. This 13448 point is on the county line of Summit and Eagle Counties. The summit of Powell is 500 feet ENE of said knob and is about 120 feet higher. The summit is inside Summit County and about 500 feet away from Eagle County. Acme Mapper and Google Earth more less agree on the elevation being 13560 13577 feet.

Height?Google Earth suggests 13,577 ft and it tends to run low in my experience. USGS indicates at least 13,560 feet
