"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."

Route Climbed: Up the fire road Date Climbed: May, 2000We turned around after summitting south peak, which tops out around 4000'. Still a decent climb from the trailhead (2200') for a leisurely day hike. Some people might be offended by all the radio towers on the summit, but I really didn't mind, since a beautiful shaded deck, with picnic tables, is built atop the radio shacks. The views weren't great (a bit hazy), but you feel really high. On a clear day, this would be a great one.

Route Climbed: Fire RoadFirst time was with Wei. Wonderful view on top, and breezy cool weather in summer. Lassen Peak and High Sierras can be seen on a clear day. Mount Diablo, Mount Tamalpais, Snow Mountain can also be seen.
