Day trip with Kurt Wedberg from SMI. Long outing with some of everything. Snow was in great shape, sun cups not too big and made for perfect steps. Rock was nice with some cool exposure. No wind, warm temps, no one on the route, and a awesome guide. Great day!

With Rob from Knapsack pass camp over to Potluck Pass. We both took chute #1(far left chute) - Rob stayed on the left of the snow and I was to the right. Traversed to Polemonium afterwards and down Polemonium glacier on the way back to camp.

Soft snow in the afternoon, got to witness a huge rockfall off of Galey. Big boulders gouged deep ruts in the glacier. Was not too excited to cross the fall zone on my way back to camp.

Combined Moon Goddess Arete, Temple summit, Mt. Gaylee and Swiss arete on Sill. Huge day. My favorite day climbing ever. My partner lost it on the L shaped snowfield and self arrested with her nut tool! 26 hours from 3rd lake to 3rd lake. Some days cannot be improved upon.

Fun route, got to the summit at sundown, but were rewarded by a unique view of whispy clouds swirling around the other palisades. Then we had to hike back to the car...one day push

Awesome day climbing with a great partner in a beautiful setting. I got to lead the whole route. The climbing was comfortable, almost a cruise, really, the entire way, though I thought a few of the sections after the step around were more difficult than expected. Lots of rope drag- I've got to use runners more effectively! Very fun day.

Awesome climb with a long, beautiful approach. Mary and I were lucky and got a permit for 3 nights. We spent the first night at the great sites between 1st and 2nd lake and then moved up to the moraine camp under Mt Gayley. We climbed the route on day 3 and then spent another night at the moraine camp before hiking out. The climbing on the route was excellent...exposed, solid rock, fun moves...and we got some extra climbing in by starting at the very base of the arete. A good 4 days in the backcountry.

We tried to follow the Southwest Chutes route, but ended up creating our own variation. Check the "Southwest Chutes Variation" Route for more details! It was a difficult climb, but a ton of fun! The view was incredible and definitely worth it! Blue skies all day!

Perfect conditions on the North Couloir route. A little bit of ice on the traverse, but easily avoided. A fantastic climb!
