Something...I like about Bumblebee Basin is that the "crowded" PCT is just over the hill, but you'd never know it. It has a great wilderness feel. I like the west ridge, but on reflection I think my favorite way on this peak is the east ridge scramble because you can actually trail run back in there with no gear, scramble to the best view summit around, and be home for dinner.

While we were climbing, we actually got passed by two guys who trail ran in and up the west ridge. They were almost literally RUNNING up the ridge tied together (swami belts) and no protection, just slinging "horns." I've never seen people move so fast together.
But the east ridge is a great evening jaunt!
