My little blue friend I met just below the summit of Griffith Peak on June 23, 2007. Spring Mountains, Nevada. Three Peak Hike Mountain Bluebird (Sialia currucoides) is a state bird of Nevada.

One of my favorite lines from a poem is one that describes a Mountain Bluebird ... "A little patch of perfect sky fell to earth one day ..."
