Countyhighpointing

The neat aspect of county highpoints is that in their pursuit you will be visiting so many diverse places in a state that you really get to know your state and many of the small towns in their vicinity. Southeastern Washington is not often visited by people from outside the area but county highpointers make the effort to get to places that few others will ever visit. Nice to see this page.

Re: Countyhighpointing

The same can be said for State Highpoints and State Highpointers... most State Highpoints are in strange locations and do not really represent what most people would think a particular State's highpoint might be like. Highpoints like Mount Rainier, Mount Hood, and Denali are the exceptions, not the rule.
(Of course, a State Highpoint is also a County Highpoint, but I think that should be obvious.)
