rocksThe prominent band one "breaks through" is the Eureka Quartzite (really a well-indurated sandstone). The petroglyphs are on rhyolite outcrops.
Perhaps the most interesting geologic features of the area are the rocks resulting from a meteorite impact -- some visible near Hancock Summit.
