This is an easily climbed range of mountains.
But it is worth the climb, particularly from Mahon Falls over to the back of the Coumshingaun lake.
Coumshingaun lake is widely regarded as one of the best examples of a Coum lake in Europe. From the nearest car park it is approximately a 1 hour easy walk to the lake or 2-3 hours to climb the ridge.
Getting There
To get to the Comeragh Mountain Range, follow signs Cork N25. Drive for about 20 mins (14 miles), looking for a sign to your right for Mahon Falls or Comeragh drive.

Red Tape
This is a national park. There are no permits or fees required. There are no parking restrictions and all car parks are clearly marked on the OS maps
When To Climb
This range can be climbed all year around.
There is no extra difficulty other than any difficulty caused by wet and rain.
Camping
There is no camping in the area, but most walks can be completed in a good day.
