No problem. I'm intending to revisit the page here shortly, since I see you've posted a route page and more photos. Always happy to see Peruvian peaks added. I have a few lesser peaks down there that I did a few years go; I'd post them, but don't have any pics. Geesh.

I am curious about the below section in "When to Climb".



(June) July and August (september)



I assume by how it's written, that you mean "July and August are best, but June and September are good as well"? Is this what is meant?

Not "Nevado Sentilo" anymore! I guess that is a fate that many mountains will have to share in the not so far future,

It's sad but true, the Cordillera Blanca is possible not "Blanca" (white) in 150 or 200 years, or more, but for us is a wonderfull place for the momment. Some people say the same thing with my pictures of Artesonraju, in only 20-25 years the mountain has changed very much!

My peruvian guide of 2004 he remember when he was a child the nevado Sentilo with a little glacier.

gracias por el voto, esta es una cumbre muy modesta en la Cordillera Blanca, pero claro para nosotros un 5100 es algo importante, no es algo que pueda uno hacer a menudo. Nos vino bien para aclimatar ya que hicimos después Urus Este (5420) e Ishinca (5530m), montes tecnicamente sencillos (son PD) pero la altura los hace bastante duros. La Cordillera Blanca de Perú es una especie de paraiso de montañeros, fue un sueño hecho realidad el poder ir. No hicimos más montes por ir a ver Machu Pichu, Titikaka.... Una vez en la vida hay que ir, yo no creo que pueda volver a Perú...pero nunca se sabe, quizás dentro de algunos años...ahora me tira más Argentina, pero son tan malas fechas el verano austral, y la parte de aventura que supone embarcarte en una de estas transoceanicas, líos de viajes, equipajes, guías, agencias... eso se olvida luego si vuelves con las cumbres pero te pegas medio año pendiente.

Tengo también otras 2 páginas peruanas: Urus y Taulliraju, hay bonitas fotos si quieres (algunas de mis favoritas son las del Taulliraju)
