I think is more correct to call " Altopiano del Montasio " what you often call " meadow Pecol ", that indicates only the alpine pasture. I'm going there in the next days for a 2/3 days tour of the Montasio group, I'm really looking forward about it!

Yes you are right. The whole plateau is called " Altopiano del Montasio ". Have fun on the trip, it looks that the weather will be fine at the weekend.
...that you posted also this one! I was not aware of the easy ski route you are mentioning. Worth trying it soon! How hard is to the top in winter conditions then from the notch? By ferrata and some easy climbing?

Yes it is easy skiing trip to the notch. For more information about east face check the page M&M. You start ascending 100 metres below the notch.
