The route presented in the overview takes you thru prime Grizzly Bear habitat with the most recent mauling in 2018. The first member of a group was alone and too far ahead of the main group, and was not making enough noise as they hiked around a blind corner and startled the bears.
Remember, the bells are worthless because the sound does not travel beyond 10 or 20 yards. A bear considers you a challenge if you are within 100 yards.
As a solo hiker I would not consider this route to Snowbank Mtn.
