"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

Untitled CommentI am going to visit Woodall Mountain in a few weeks. I am getting there from I-40, coming East from Arkansas. Any suggestions on shortcuts, or best way to get there? How about the best way to get there from Memphis?

Untitled CommentI'm not sure, as I came in from the Alabama side. After a cursory view of the map, there don't seem to be any real quick ways to get there.

Untitled CommentAs long as I don't get lost. I am trusting your directions for now. I hope they get me to where I am going!

Untitled CommentThe only red neck that I saw was my own; I didn't expect that I would get sunburned through the clouds, but I sure did! Thanks for the vote.

Untitled CommentI'll confess to little interest in highpointing, but this is a great page, well written and informative. Thanks for posting. I guess you carried your ice axe to the summit because of the red necks? ;-}

Untitled CommentThanks Nelson, and congrats on your climb of Kili! I always haul up the ice axe to fight of rabid squirrels and such, oh and to climb up icy or snowy slopes if there are any. ;-)
Cheers!
