Camp Colera [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Camp Colera
Camping Beta: Looking down at Camp Colera, elevation ~19,200ft. Consider camping at Colera instead of Berlin. In Dec 2005, the conditions at Camp Berlin were horrible. It was much cleaner at Colera and the trail leading to the summit is less steep initially than is the trail from Berlin. Photo taken from near the junction of the trail that ascends from Camp Berlin and the trail that comes from Colera, December 13, 2005.

Thanks Lolli. We had a lot of fun on the trip, especially with the team from Sweden led by Corax. I never met a nicer bunch of people in a group that size! Are all you Swedes so good natured? :-)

:-) I'd venture to say... mostly. (That the leader is calm and competent, matters of course. )

Itīs true, this camp is much more comfortable, cleaner and not so overcrwoded as Camp Berlin!
