It was cold, wet, windy and hailing at the summit. Once we reached the top, the first clap of thunder hit directly over us... scared the crap out of us.... the next day a kid was struck by lighting... Luckily,we were more fortunate...

scary

I can relate to your experience. I was on Mt. Moriah last saturday, about 1000 feet below the summit when a storm blew in and started blasting the summit area. For once, I was very happy NOT to be on the summit. I turned tail and headed down as fast as I could. Lightning is the one thing that scares me big time.

Haha wow, that would be a little scary. It scares me too, but then again, I think it is one of the most vivid ways in which nature show its true force. Sorry about your summit bid
