Thanks. The snow was melting fast but still made following the trails a bit tricky. However this is rarely much of a problem in the basin as it is wide open and easy to find your way around. There were no bugs to speak of in the basin, but they were present in Piute Pass especially down towards the trail head. Our only concern in the basin was the marmots!

We're going there on 11 august as well. But I've been here many times before, and you have a good eye: this is a beautiful shot.
