taken from Mt Lewis to the NE. Exceptionally clear weather allowed us to see the LA basin, the Pacific Ocean, and Catalina Island through the low spot which is Windy Gap. The (closed portion of) Angeles Crest Highway can be seen winding its way beneath the mountain (Dec 07).
