Dry!Your photo really puts the drought in perspective. I hiked this area in July of 1993 and the heavy snow prevented us from going into the basin beyond Italy pass, as we had originally planned. We bagged Mt. Julius Caeser as a consolation prize.

Re: Dry!On the way up, we also saw lots of dry streams and receding shorelines. It would be interesting to go back after a big snow year and see how different this area can look. Thanks for your vote, JHH60.
