Mt. McAdie

Mt. McAdie

Detail of Mt. McAdie as a late afternoon thunderstorm breaks up, and warm evening light paints the peak a neon orange glow. Crabtree Pass is on the right shoulder of the peak. We hiked from Sky Blue Lake in the Miter Basin area over Crabtree Pass earlier in the day. I took this shot from a beautiful campsite above middle Crabtree Lake, which has magnificent views of the Mt. Whitney peaks to the east and The Great Western Divide north and west. John Muir Wilderness. Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park. Sierra Nevada, California. August 2008.

McAdie

This peak is not appreciated as much as it should be. Great shot!
