Mountain Weather-1 Mountain Brigands-0

These few pictures are from the Mountain brigands trip to Camp Schurman on Mt. Rainier in August of 2008. The weather on the approach hike started out nice, but quickly turned to crap about half way up Inter Glacier. The visibilty was next to nothing, and the snow bridges on the glaciers were melting. We managed to get a little off course and ended up having to down climb Steamboat Prow to Camp Schurman. The weather the rest of the day was not that bad, but you couldn't really see anything up the mountain past Camp Schurman. By the time we set up camp the wind started to pick up. That night, and the next 2 days day we were getting gusts around 60-70 mph and it was raining off and on. Wet climbing sucks. We spent 2 days at camp waiting for the weather to clear up but it didn't happen. So, on the third day, we packed up camp...in the pouring rain, tucked our tails and headed down the mountain, which was another adventure in itself.
