Mt. St. Helens, 1977

This entire face blew away less than 3 years sfter this picture was taken. Our route skirted the glacier, nipping an ascension line over the prominent butress called the Dogshead on the left.

Forsythe Glacier

Wow!, it was a huge and beautiful volcano back in the day. I wish it never erupted. Nice picture.

Yes, so do I but it is a very young volcano and probably will rebuild itself.
