Great pic!

Is this taken from somewhere above or on Porcupine Pass? The Oweep Drainage is humongous! From Oweep to Deadhorse Pass is probably the most remote area in the Uintas. At least it felt that way.

Thanks! You are looking at the upper reaches of the Little East Fork Blacks Fork. The Oweep Drainage is on the other side of W Oweep Peak. The picture was taken just S of Central Blacks Fork Peak (12869'). The long ridge on the left of the picture is Squaw Benchmark. Behind it you can see the top of Wilson and to its right most of Porcupine Mountain (12892'). Porcupine Pass is inbetween the two.

I have some other pictures taken near Squaw Pass that clearly show the stark nature of nature of the Oweep drainage, but they aren't going to get posted for at least a week or two. I agree with you about the Oweep region seeming very remote and vast.
