Peeew!

That's alot of poo-poo on there! Pelicans are a pleasure to watch though. Good find to have so many roosting, guess they couldn't help it with the weather, huh?

I like watching any birds, particularly colonies of sea birds. The dynamics are fun.

Guano is good fertalizer . . . not that any one harvests it . . . the pelicans hang out there a lot; I don't know what their breeding season is but I often see them at Natural Bridges. Cool and foggy is pretty normal for the area . . .

Somewhere I heard that condensation of fog and dew on redwoods is equivalent to ten inches of rain per year.
