Nature's Orgasm

Nature's Orgasm

I know, a little graphic. The amount of ice here though is just amazing. Gorgeous textures and artistic flows fills the canyon of Ouray making for interesting and fun climbing. Here I am almost out of the canyon after being on the sharp end for almost 40 mintues. I moved slow, taking time at each screw to survey ahead. I was quite scared, but my belayers singing (Mark Cushman) helped to loosen me up and make my climbing more fluid. A great line and a great day. Photo courtesy of Scott Borger.

Awesome picture

This is a friggin (sorry to be so graphic)awesome picture. Why don't climbing shots like this make picture of the day/week - seems to always be some mountain. Anyway, beautiful looking pitch - I've got to get to Ouray some day; I always think of it as being crowded, but this picture seems to put that to rest.

Re: Awesome picture

Thanks! Yeah, even though lots of folks come to the park, if you are there during the week it is relatively uncrowded. Really amazing stuff and super close to town. Thanks for the kind comments. I guess my climbing shots are not extreme enough to warrant POTD or POTW! Take care and climb on,

Dan
