Near Toblacher Kreuz

Toblacher Kreuz (Toblach Cross) is a place a bit north of the highest point of Monte Piano. There's a nice, small karstic plateau, on its edge a wooden cross stands, nicely seen from the valley near Lago di Landro / Duerrensteinsee. During the World War I Austrians had positions there, today the place is a memorial site, which you visit on the "Historical Round Trail". In the backgrond we see the mighty Cristallo mountain.
