Hey, it's good to see my old stomping ground finally make it to SP. Great start, but you need a bit more for a solid, 4-star page. It could use a bit more introductory text. For instance, Nelson is one of the southernmost bits of a 50-mile long (?) ridge of Tuscarora sandstone which stretches all along North Fork Mountain and includes the larger and more famous Seneca Rocks as well as Champe and other formations along US33.

Would be nice to have a weather forecast link. There isn't any camping at Nelson itself, but there are several Nat. Forest camping areas not too far away. Seneca Shadows up at Seneca is one, but I'm sure there are others (don't have my maps in front of me).

As for some nitty-gritty, the photos are good and I may be able to help out. You've got one near-duplicate you might want to delete in there, but the other one would make a great signature photo. Also, if you provide lat-long coordinates, you'll get a spiffy topozone link. Remember that western longitudes are negative.

Anyway, great start and I look forward to contributing a rockclimbing route or two when I dig out my notes on the subject.

climbing closure

According to the official site it is now closed to climbing (excluding the ferrata) so the page needs an update.

Treasure Hunters

Does anyone know if the clip that NBC shows for Treasure Hunters was filmed on the Via Ferrata bridge at Nelson Rocks?

I've only seen the short clip twice and the second time I thought it was definitely Nelson Rocks...last night they didn't use the clip on the upcoming trailer...
