Nevada Falls

Some 2 miles beyond vernal falls is this massive crash of water. 594 feet high, this waterfall makes up the final part of the Giant staircase of the Merced River. The trail is to the left in this picture, and climbs up the infamous rockslide, an awesome route which by all rights shouldn't have ever been built, because it sowell lives up to its name. It is best to climb up via this route, and return via the John muir Trail, which is on the far right of the falls.
