Ngala Pulu

This is a view of Ngala Pulu from the start of the snow fields. The snow has retreated 30 metres over the last couple of years. The summit of Ngala Pulu is to the top right of the photo. There are numerous crevasse that need to be negotiated. This starting point is North West of Puncak Jaya and around 1.5 hrs from basecamp. The rocks provide for challenging scrambling and negotiation at over 4500 metres. This area is in white out most afternoons.
