Climbed 9-27-14. Just before the first saddle as the ridge gets steep, there is a junction with the option to turn right or proceed straight. The option to proceed straight seems like the better way but the trail gradually disappears. A right turn will take you throuh the scub oak and will gradually improve, keeping you on the center of the ridge. A cairn marks the turn next to a small spruce tree. There are about three saddles that make good rest spots before taking on the next section.
