North Mountain Fire Lookout

The North Mountain Fire Lookout, near Darrington, WA. The Darrington Ranger District, as of 2009, created a plan to tear down this fire lookout, despite its popularity with hikers and other outdoor recreationalists.
North Mountain is popular with peakbaggers for two main reasons: This fire lookout at its northern false summit and because the mountain is one of Washington's peaks with over 2000' of prominence.
