North Ridge - Grand Teton

Me leading the chimney pitch on the classic North Ridge route. It would have been much easier to start the big stem moves from the cave-like feature rather than out on the face where I'm climbing. There's a large belay ledge at the top of the chimney where the party ahead of us spent the night. The next pitch is the friction pitch that leads to a very small (and exposed) belay ledge one pitch below the Second Ledge of the North Face. North Ridge - Grand Teton, Wyoming August 1978
