North Ridge

North Ridge

Looking back towards Shirley at the belay from the lead of pitch 10 (numbering per Nelson and Potterfield) of North Ridge route. Wonderful exposure and the highlight of this route. Colchuck Peak (?) is in the background (July 30, 2005).

Re: Hand traverses gallore!

Thanks Dirk!

You'd enjoy this route! This hand traverse pitch is about a rope length (there's another sort of a knife edge traverse pitch but not quite as knife-like) and it's the most memorable part of the climb IMHO.

Anyway, come on down (or up actually) and don't let the Washington weather rumors drive you away :)
