Like many locals, once Sonora Pass opens its instantly on my radar! Earliest I can remember the pass opening too, but that's what happens after a crappy season. The "Y" had perfect climbing conditions, and even better skiing! Dropped in on skier's left with some nice steep jump turns in primo chalky, edgible snow which transitioned into nice corn down lower. Love this place!

great skiing
3 laps in the skier's left fork of the Y. Conditions at the top getting progressively better and at the bottom progressively worse. Not bad at all for late June!! WOW.
