Hidden from the World
Northeast India is the home of my new wife, a Tanghkul Naga from Ukhrul, Manipur, and now it is my home too. I've fallen in love with this place, the scenery and their way of life, and now it is part of my own way of life. The seven states of Northeast India have some of the most beautiful scenery in India, and are home to some of the least known people groups. In Manipur, the Shiroi Kashong peak rises above the valleys in the north of the state, and at over 8,000 feet is the highest mountain in Manipur. These foothills of the Himalaya's are lush with vegetation and feature a wide variety of evergreens includicing Hemlock, Cedar and Pine. To the west, the rainy state of Meghalaya boasts the highest rainfall on earth, and the mountain city of Shillong is the gateway to beautiful waterfalls, canyons and mountain vistas. This is an album of some of the scenery, and people I have experienced in India with my wife on our honeymoon.
