Northern approach

You can approach the Goat Rocks from White Pass via the PCT which winds up and around the ski area. This shot shows part of the ski area at a time of year when the PCT is still buried under snow but by using map and GPS you can short cut up via the western aspect of the ski area. A nice day hike to a great view point of the Goat Rocks is to go to Hogback Mtn, situated at near 7000 feet. That big mountain in the distance dominates the scenery once you get high enough. 6-2-07
