Panoramas of the North Cascades (and others)

This is a simple collection of some panoramas I've posted to other pages of areas in the North Cascades, Olympics and Wind River (WY) mountains.
Most of the photos appear best in their original (large) size and will probably require some left - right scrolling.

Early images (pre-2001) were taken with a 35mm slide film camera, scanned, then digitally stitched together. Images taken after 2001 were taken with one of several digital cameras.

The simple process I try to follow (at least on recent panos) is:

1. Use a tripod (if it's not forgotten in the car);
2. Overlap each photo by a minimum 1/3;
3. Set the aperture for the brightest end of the scan area and lock it.

There are several decent (at least for unpaid webwork) stitching programs for under $50. Photoshop CS2 and Photoshop Elements also have stitching capabilities.

Disclaimer:
As always with me, peak identities are subject to correction (on my own contributions). If I've misidentified any of these, please let me know.

Update (Oct 2007) - Originally this was just intended as a simple album or collector of some of the panos I had posted elsewhere on summitpost.com. However, it's become a collector of other panoramas too. Please continue to contribute additional panoramic photos as you wish. These additional contributions are terrific.

I'd suggest considering 'The Northwest' as west of Wyoming (inclusive); south to San Francisco; and north into British Columbia (though I guess it'd be 'Southwest' to them). But I'm easy and not a stickler for rules.
