| Drove to the top. Nice wide views though kinda foggy towards the city. Cool that they kept the actual highest rocks within the visitor center but sticking out so you could touch it. | ||

| Like several other posters, I enjoy the hike/run up this wonderful mountain right here in our backyards as a training experience to stay fit. I always prefer approaching from the east or north. Lots of history here for me going back to the days in high school I'd cut class to technical climb with buddies at Rock City. As with topping out on Mt. Tam, there's often a little bit of culture shock at the top when the family mini-van unloads. | ||

| Jane | Mt Diablo ![]() Date Climbed: Apr 1, 2012 | |
| Hiked all the way up from the park boundary to the top on the Summit Trail. The previous day it rained, so the trail was pretty muddy. It was still a fun hike though, with good views from the top. | Hyadventure | Mt Olympia Trail ![]() Date Climbed: Feb 26, 2012 | |
| Olympia to North to Diablo. It was a lot easier than I had anticipated based on the posted trail description. The ridge between Olympia and North is a much more fun and speedy. While it's loose, its really no harder then second class baring poor route finding. | ||

| smurfer | good workout ![]() Date Climbed: Nov 9, 2010 | |
| Depending on how you do this, this can be a real good workout and perfect training for bigger mountains. I come up from the suburban northside, not to avoid the entrance fee, but because the trails up that side are I think the most scenic and uphill | ||

| Nice Hike; except that I had to pay $10 just to enter the park. The views are probably awesome without the haze. | ||
